Shifting The Blame

This poem is not directed at anyone, just summarises somewhat how I've felt about things before!!

It's not me, it's you
And the things you want to do
All the things you want to see
When I just want to be free

You want to take up all my time
And always ask if everything's fine
When the reality could well be
That I just want to be with me

It sounds a little unfair
That I don't seem to care
But you can't just create those feelings
From nowhere, if you get my meaning

I like a lot of time to just be
And don't give up my time easily
But that's just the way that it is
And nothing seems likely to change this

So don't take it personally
And get on with who you want to be
So I can do what I need to do
'Cos it's not me, it's probably you
